HOW TO READ THE EVIDENCE
Sources you can follow.
Limits you can see.
This is a practical career decision guide, not a prediction that any occupation is permanently safe.
Research dates and geography
The research cutoff is October 1, 2026. The publication focuses on the United States. Career profiles use May 2025 pay and 2025–2035 employment projections from the retrieved BLS Occupational Outlook Handbook pages. These are national measures; local hiring, wages, licensing, and training vary.
Three kinds of statement
Observed evidence describes what researchers measured in a particular setting. Forecasts describe estimated future employment under stated methods and assumptions. Editorial interpretation explains what task patterns may mean for a reader’s next decision. The ebook labels these distinctions and links to sources.
Important limits
- Median occupational pay is not expected starting pay and generally excludes self-employed workers.
- A growing occupation can still be difficult for beginners to enter. A declining occupation can still have replacement openings.
- Some BLS demand categories combine roles. Profiles identify when the pay subgroup differs from the demand group.
- Training budget ranges are illustrative planning allowances, not national tuition statistics or program quotes.
- Career labels are not validated risk scores or probabilities of job loss.
- All worked examples are fictional and labeled. No testimonials or client outcomes are claimed.
